The JBJ Arctica 3HP Commercial Chiller - 230V is the highest-capacity model in the JBJ Arctica Commercial Series lineup, built for very large aquatic systems with demanding cooling requirements. With a 3HP compressor platform, titanium Helix heat exchanger, remote Auto IC digital LED temperature controller, and 36000 BTU cooling capacity, the DA-3000 is designed for large reef systems, public displays, aquatic holding systems, commercial livestock systems, coldwater applications, and other high-volume installations.
JBJ Arctica 3HP Commercial Chiller Overview
The DA-3000 3HP Commercial Chiller is intended for the largest and most heat-demanding aquarium and aquatic-system applications in the JBJ commercial lineup. It is rated for aquariums around 800 gallons under recommended sizing conditions, with a maximum aquarium size rating up to 3000 gallons depending on heat load, ambient temperature, livestock requirements, desired temperature pull-down, plumbing layout, and room ventilation. This 230V commercial model is designed to be wired directly to circuit, with no cord or plug included.

Sizing and Installation Notes for the JBJ Arctica 3HP Commercial Chiller
The 3HP model should be selected for systems where total water volume, heat-producing equipment, room temperature, ventilation, and required temperature drop justify the highest commercial Arctica capacity. Proper pump sizing is critical, and the installed flow rate should remain within the operating range after head pressure and plumbing restrictions are accounted for. This model requires 200VAC to 240VAC power and direct electrical installation by a qualified electrician according to local code.
Directions
Place the chiller in a dry, level, well-ventilated equipment area with adequate clearance for intake, exhaust, and service access. Connect the inlet and outlet using the 1-1/4 inch PVC union fittings and a pump or system loop that delivers 1920 to 2880 GPH after plumbing loss. Circulate water through the chiller before powering the unit, inspect all plumbing for leaks, and complete electrical installation according to local code. Set the desired temperature on the digital controller, keep the condenser clean, and maintain plumbing and flow regularly to preserve cooling performance.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
