Three lines, three jobs

Aqua Illumination splits its flow hardware three ways. Nero powerheads mount inside the display and drive water across the aquascape, offered as 3, 5 and 7 with output rising through the range. Orbit units are cross-flow pumps: rather than firing a narrow jet they roll a wide sheet of water down the length of the tank. Axis pumps are centrifugal and belong under the tank, handling return duty from a sump or general water moving. A typical build pairs a return pump with one or more in-tank units.

Service kits

• Maintenance kits are stocked for the Orbit 2 and the Orbit 4.
• Each kit fits one pump size only and does not cross over.
• Replacing wear parts is normal upkeep on a continuously running pump.

Which one fits

Nero works where flow should be aimed and tuned from a single point. Orbit answers the longer display, where consistent end-to-end movement counts for more than one powerful stream. Axis is sump equipment, not display equipment. When more than one in-tank unit is going into the same aquarium, work out the positions first - pumps pointed at each other cancel out.
