Three different system types

The Reefer line is the plumbed option: the display is drilled for an overflow and paired with a sump and cabinet, supplied as a complete system in black or white. G3 covers the S-series and Peninsula layouts in a range of volumes. Max Nano G2 and Max E take the opposite approach, building filtration into the rear of the aquarium instead of a sump, and come in standard, XL, XXL and Peninsula formats. Most models let you choose cabinet colour at the point of order.

Replacement and upgrade parts

• O-ring sets and float valves for Reefer and Max-S sumps.
• Y split return nozzles for the return plumbing.
• Valved downpipes suited to 170 and 200 G3 and G2 tanks.
• ReefGate valve upgrade kits for 1 inch and 1.25 inch downpipes.

Getting the order right

Generation counts for more than the model name here. A G2 and a G3 of the same stated volume take different downpipes and valves, so confirm which one you have before buying a plumbing part. Complete systems are mostly special order - a normal orderable state where the order goes in and the aquarium is brought in - which is worth factoring into any build schedule.
