Settling on a model

Bioload drives skimmer sizing further than water volume does, so a thinly stocked larger aquarium and a densely stocked smaller one can arrive at the same unit. The space the skimmer has to occupy is worth measuring as well before choosing between two of them. The number is printed on the unit, so read it off the skimmer, together with whether it is a DC version, rather than relying on memory.
