Hardware, Not Consumables

Cartridges run on a replacement schedule; the housings holding them usually outlast several sets. When one does fail — a cracked canister, a stripped thread, a corroded bracket — the fix is a part, not a new system.

What's Here

  • Replacement canisters — standard housings for sediment and carbon stages.
  • Membrane housings — the pressure vessel that holds the RO membrane.
  • Flow restrictors — 100 and 200 GPD barrel restrictors, matched to membrane output.
  • Mounting brackets — single-canister brackets for wall or frame mounting.

Size the restrictor to the membrane, not the tap. Get it wrong and the ratio of product water to waste shifts, which typically shows up as poorer rejection and a DI stage exhausting earlier than expected. Whenever a housing comes apart, inspect the O-ring and lubricate it before reassembly — leaks appearing right after a cartridge change almost always trace to a dry, pinched or twisted seal rather than the housing. J&L Aquatics was formed in December 1997

Our business was started from our love of the aquarium hobby. We at J&L Aquatics felt that the Canadian aquarist should have the option to purchase top quality supplies, equipment and livestock other than the generally over priced local retail stores.
