Overview
The Ultra Reef AKULA UKS protein skimmer is an essential addition to any aquarium. Compact and robust, the skimmer works quietly and efficiently to remove contaminants from your aquarium, leaving the water clean, clear and healthy for your marine life.
How it Works
The Ultra Reef range of protein skimmers are designed to filter aquariums by removing the surfactants from seawater. It pumps a mixture of Aquarium water and air bubbles into a mixing chamber. By exploiting the properties of the film surface tension between air and water. It generates a dense foam that moves upward into the collection cup where it can be easily removed and cleaned out as necessitates.

Reliability and Performance
Our skimmers are equipped with Sicce AC pumps with latest generation needle impeller. Using venturi opposed cone, designed and manufactured by Ultra Reef, these pumps are able to mix large volumes of air and water within the skimmer. The simple design and the long tuning work guarantee excellent performance over time. The use of Ultra Reef skimmers improves oxygenation and makes the aquarium water exceptionally clean and clear
Precise Adjustment Optimum Nutrient Content
The adjusting screws allow to alter the skimmer's settings and volume of induced air. This allows for an optimum nutrient content and water quality in any tank ensuring stability even in new aquariums, with extreme low organic load. These skimmers are ideal for dry and wet skimming.
Noiseless
Ultra Reef skimmers have an integrated silencer that minimizes the skimmer noise making it virtually silent. The exhaust system is submerged in the base of the skimmer for silent operation as the clean water is discharged back into the tank. Rubber feet are installed under the base to absorb all vibrations and avoid annoying resonances
Efficient to Run and Maintain
The PVC components can all be disassembled (and replaced if damaged or broken), while the needle wheel pump can be accessed by removing the titanium locking screws on the conical chamber. The skimmer also has an innovative Easy Flip seal, which allows for the easy removal of all components to clean the unit.

- Frozen or perishable food can only be shipped via UPS Express. We have discounted the express shipping of these items to help the hobbyist out.

- We always make our best effort to ship your order via the carrier chosen during the check-out process; however, for some multi-piece shipments and/or remote destinations, we must reserve the right to use another carrier at our discretion (and without prior notice). - Upon request, we will do our best to ship your dry goods as per your specifications (courier, airlines, on your account, etc.).
- Quoted rates are the carriers live discounted shipping rates after adjusting for any/all shipping promotions.

Aquarium Equipment Returns
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 14 days of receipt of product.
- Products may only be returned unused, and in original unopened packaging.
- J&L Aquatics reserves the right to charge a non-refundable 20% restocking charge for any/all returned merchandise (excluding exchanges).
- J&L Aquatics will not be responsible for return shipping charges. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. If the item was originally shipped under our free shipping policy, the cost of doing so will be removed from the credit. Before returning/exchanging any goods, we require that you authorize your return with J&L Aquatics. Any items returned without our authorization will be declined.
- In the event that your order is damaged by the carrier, a claim will be filed with the carrier company. Upon approval of the claim by the carrier, your original order will be re-shipped to you at no additional cost. If you wish to return the damaged goods for a refund or credit, the 20% restocking charge will be applied. J&L Aquatics will not be held responsible for any/all shipping delays that may occur from time to time.
- Special order & sale items are not returnable under any circumstances.
- Dry Good Order cancellations may also be subject to a 20% restocking charge.
- Orders that are returned or refunded when using Affirm or similar financing are subject to a 5% service charge of the original order amount including tax.
