Product Description
Red Sea ReefControl Pro
Red Sea ReefControl Pro is an expandable ReefBeat-connected reef aquarium controller that includes digital pH and temperature monitoring, supports four ReefSense probes or sensors in its standard configuration with expansion to as many as seven, and provides control for two compatible 12V DC devices.
Expanded ReefControl Pro Monitoring
ReefControl Pro is designed for systems where monitoring needs extend beyond pH and temperature. Compatible ReefSense options include salinity and temperature, ORP, dedicated temperature and leak detection, allowing the controller to be configured around the parameters and safeguards that matter to a particular reef system.
- Expandable ReefSense capacity: Connect up to four ReefSense probes or sensors in the standard configuration and expand the system to support as many as seven.
- Two 12V DC control connections: ReefSense readings can be assigned to compatible DC equipment so a measured parameter can trigger an automatic response.
- AC equipment automation: Connecting ReefControl Power allows ReefSense readings to control plugged-in Red Sea or non-Red Sea equipment, including applications such as temperature-based heater or cooling control and ORP-based ozonizer control.
- Integrated ATO option: The ReefControl ATO Module connects directly to ReefControl Pro with its digital level sensor and DC pump, adding automatic top-off without a separate ATO controller.
ReefSense Digital Architecture
Instead of sending an analog sensor signal along the entire probe cable, ReefSense probes convert the measurement to digital data inside the probe. This helps prevent electromagnetic interference around pumps, filters and other sump equipment from affecting the signal between the probe and controller.
- Universal ReefSense interface: Compatible ReefSense probes and sensors can use any available ReefSense connection, and multiple sensors of the same type can be used where required.
- Probe-stored calibration: Calibration data and calibration history remain stored on the probe itself, allowing a calibrated probe to move between compatible controllers without recalibrating solely because of the move.
- 28-day history: ReefBeat provides current values, interactive graphs and minimum, maximum and average readings for connected ReefSense probes over the previous 28 days.
- Remote Bluetooth operation: With the optional ReefSense USB-C connector, compatible probes can communicate directly with ReefBeat for temporary readings, cleaning or calibration away from the installed controller without adding remote measurements to aquarium trend logs.
Included pH and Temperature Probe
The supplied ReefSense pH & Temperature Probe provides temperature-compensated pH monitoring plus an independent temperature measurement. Its pH sensor uses a double-junction design with dual ceramic external junctions and can supply both readings to ReefBeat for logs, notifications and compatible equipment control.
- pH accuracy: ±0.05 pH.
- pH precision: 0.01 pH.
- Temperature accuracy: ±0.05°C.
Building a Multi-Parameter ReefControl System
Install the included pH and temperature probe in the monitored aquarium water and configure it through ReefBeat. Additional ReefSense probes or sensors can then be added according to the parameters you want to monitor. ReefBeat provides acceptable-range settings, semi-automatic probe calibration, notifications, graphs and sensor-based control settings from the same interface.
