Hiblow HP 60 Air Pump
Hiblow HP 60 Balanced Output for Larger Aeration Systems
The Hiblow HP 60 Air Pump is engineered for continuous applications that require substantial airflow, dependable pressure performance and quiet operation. It is an excellent choice for larger aquariums, fish rooms, centralized air manifolds, aquaculture tanks, hydroponic systems, biological filtration and pond aeration.
The HP 60 produces up to 100 litres per minute under low-pressure conditions while delivering approximately 60 litres per minute at its rated loading pressure of 14.7 kPa on 60 Hz power. Its additional pressure capability helps maintain useful airflow through longer airline runs, deeper diffusers and more complex distribution systems.
Continuous-Duty Advantages of the Hiblow HP 60
- Substantial air capacity: Provides up to 100 L/min for larger manifolds and multiple aeration devices.
- Strong loaded performance: Delivers approximately 60 L/min at a rated pressure of 14.7 kPa on 60 Hz power.
- Quiet equipment-room operation: Produces approximately 35 dBA at one metre despite its considerably higher output.
- Energy-conscious performance: Consumes 51 watts during operation for efficient around-the-clock aeration.
- Oil-free air supply: Linear diaphragm technology eliminates the need for oil lubrication within the pumping mechanism.
- Smooth airflow: Low pulsation and vibration make the HP 60 suitable for installations where stable air delivery is important.
- Continuous-duty protection: Thermal overload protection helps protect the pump from excessive operating temperature.
- Maintainable design: Wear components can be serviced and replaced to extend the pump's useful operating life.

Air Distribution and Backpressure Notes for the HP 60
The number of outlets the HP 60 can operate depends on the airflow requirements and resistance of the connected equipment. Water depth, airline length, tubing diameter, diffuser type and manifold restrictions all contribute to total backpressure.
For multi-outlet systems, use a manifold with individual control valves and balance each line after all air stones or diffusers are installed. Diffusers positioned at equal depths will generally be easier to balance than outlets installed at substantially different depths.
Larger-diameter main airline is recommended for long distribution runs. Replace clogged diffusers and avoid closing excessive manifold valves because trapped pressure can reduce performance and shorten the service life of normal wear components. Keep the system below the maximum continuous operating pressure of 25 kPa.
Hiblow HP 60 Installation Directions
Install the pump upright on a firm and level base in a dry location with sufficient ventilation. Do not place the unit where it can become submerged, receive direct water exposure or have its cooling airflow obstructed. Use a properly ventilated protective enclosure for pond installations.
Attach the supplied L-tube outlet connector and connect suitably sized airline or a distribution manifold. Minimize sharp bends and restrictive fittings. Install the pump above the water level whenever possible or add an appropriate check valve to reduce the possibility of backsiphoning.
Open the required manifold valves before starting the pump and confirm that every connected aeration device is operating correctly. Inspect the inlet filter and distribution system periodically. Clean or replace dirty filters, clogged diffusers and damaged tubing before they create excessive restriction.
