Product Description
Hiblow HP 200 Air Pump
Hiblow HP 200 Maximum-Capacity Linear Aeration
The Hiblow HP 200 Air Pump is the highest-output standard model in the HP Series, providing the airflow required for large commercial and institutional aeration systems. It is designed for pond aeration, aquaculture, aquarium facilities, fish rooms, large biological filters and other continuous-duty applications where one pump must supply an extensive distribution network.
The HP 200 delivers approximately 200 litres per minute at its rated loading pressure of 20 kPa on 60 Hz power and produces up to 240 litres per minute under low-pressure conditions. A maximum continuous operating pressure of 30 kPa enables it to support deeper diffusers and longer supply lines when the system is properly sized.
Single-Module Engineering for High Air Demand
- Maximum HP Series output: Produces up to 240 L/min under low-pressure conditions.
- High rated airflow: Delivers approximately 200 L/min at a rated loading pressure of 20 kPa.
- Single pumping module: Achieves high-volume output without combining two separate pump mechanisms inside one housing.
- Reduced service complexity: Uses one diaphragm set rather than the two sets commonly found in paired high-output pump designs.
- Continuous pressure capability: Supports maximum continuous operating pressure up to 30 kPa.
- Oil-free linear diaphragm operation: Provides airflow without oil lubrication or a conventional piston compressor.
- Thermal overload protection: Helps protect the pump if abnormal conditions create excessive operating temperature.
- Maintainable construction: Replaceable diaphragms, valves and filters support practical long-term servicing.

Planning a High-Flow HP 200 Installation
The HP 200 must be connected to an air distribution system capable of handling its output without excessive restriction. Long runs should use large-diameter main tubing, with smaller branch lines used only where appropriate for individual diffusers or air-driven equipment.
Use gradual transitions and Y-connections to reduce friction loss. Every diffuser must be matched to the airflow it receives, and branch valves should be adjusted so that sufficient total discharge remains open. Installing diffusers at similar depths will help the system balance more evenly.
Maximum airflow and maximum pressure are separate operating limits. Actual delivered airflow depends on the completed system's resistance and should be checked against the manufacturer performance curve. Do not allow continuous system pressure to exceed 30 kPa.
Hiblow HP 200 Installation Directions
Place the HP 200 upright on a stable and level surface capable of supporting the pump securely. Install it in a dry and well-ventilated location with adequate clearance around the housing. Do not expose the unit directly to water, flooding or spray.
Attach the supplied straight stepped hose connector and clamp, then connect properly sized main airline. Larger-diameter tubing is particularly important for long distribution distances. Keep the pump above the water level or install appropriate backflow protection where siphoning could occur.
Open the necessary airflow paths before applying power. Verify that every diffuser is operating and adjust the branch valves gradually while monitoring the overall system. Inspect the inlet filter and complete air network regularly. Shut the pump off immediately if airflow drops sharply or abnormal noise develops.
