Collection: EcoTech Marine Pumps

EcoTech Marine splits its pumps into two families. VorTech pumps (MP10, MP40, MP60) move water inside the aquarium, while Vectra pumps (S2, M2, L2) handle return and external plumbing duty. Spare wet sides, dry sides, drivers, power supplies and foam are sold separately, along with Vectra fittings and the Battery Backup Booster for outages.

Where each pump goes

VorTech pumps hold to the glass with a magnet, so the motor stays outside and only the propeller housing sits in the water. That makes them in-tank circulation pumps. Vectra pumps are DC units meant for sump returns, closed loops and feeding reactors.

Picking a VorTech size

  • MP10: nano and small reefs.
  • MP40: most mid-size reefs.
  • MP60: large systems needing a lot of flow.

Replacement parts

Wet sides, dry sides, drivers, power supplies and replacement foam are available as individual parts for VorTech owners. Parts are model-specific, so read the model off your driver label before ordering.

J&L Aquatics was formed in December 1997

Our business was started from our love of the aquarium hobby. We at J&L Aquatics felt that the Canadian aquarist should have the option to purchase top quality supplies, equipment and livestock other than the generally over priced local retail stores.
