Use a Separate Tank

Nearly every treatment is simpler, cheaper and safer in a bare quarantine tank than in a stocked display. Dosing is accurate against a known volume, nothing gets absorbed by rock or sand, and no invertebrate meets a product never intended for it. Quarantining new arrivals before they enter the display heads off a lot of problems before they reach the display.

Follow the label exactly. Dosage, duration and invertebrate compatibility vary by product, and the bottle instructions override anything written elsewhere, this page included.
