The Varios DC range

Varios is Reef Octopus' controllable DC return pump family, offered as Varios 2, 4, 6 and 8. Speed is adjustable instead of fixed, letting a pump run below maximum where a system does not need full output. Higher numbers deliver more flow, and the right choice depends on head height and the length of the plumbing run from sump to display.

Aquatrance hardware and spares

• Aquatrance 1000S, a needle-wheel pump used on skimmer bodies.
• Separate replacement impellers for the 1000S and the 2000S.
• Input and output O-rings, a normal service item on the housing.
• A replacement venturi for the BH-1000 skimmer.

Getting the spare right

Aquatrance components are size specific - an impeller cut for the 1000S will not fit a 2000S. Find the model code on the pump body or the skimmer's pump housing and order from that, rather than working backward from the skimmer model. A number of listings here are special order, which is a normal orderable state: the order is placed and the part is brought in.
