Collection: Fluval LED Lights

The four fixture lines

• Plant 4.0 - full spectrum light for planted freshwater setups, with ramping and programmable cycles.
• Plant Pro - the highest output planted fixture here, using dual-angle lightboards and rated at 90 CRI.
• Reef 4.0 - a marine spectrum built around coral growth and color.
• Aquasky 3.0 - straightforward freshwater lighting at the entry level.

Getting the size right

Fluval sells these fixtures by the span they cover instead of a single fixed length. Models listed as 15-24, 23-35, 35-49 and 46-61 inches sit on extendable brackets that rest on the rim of the aquarium, meaning one model suits a band of widths. The measurement that decides the purchase is therefore the outside width of the tank, not its volume. Nano fixtures are fixed size units for small aquariums, and Flex replacement lights are matched to a particular aquarium kit rather than to a width range.

Bluetooth control

The Plant 4.0, Reef 4.0 and Aquasky 3.0 all pair over Bluetooth with the FluvalSmart app, giving control over intensity, spectrum, sunrise and sunset effects and daily schedules. Plant Pro moves to the FluvalConnect app on Bluetooth Mesh, which adds stored profiles for different layouts. Because the two apps do not cross over, confirm which one a fixture uses before pairing it with lights you already own.
